Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in public safety/law enforcement.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean driving record (no more than two points).
• Pass university background check and health screening including drug testing.
• Ability to obtain DC police commission and handgun license.
• Must complete CPSI academy or have CPSI certification.
• Citizenship and age 21+ as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise public safety staff and contract security.
• Enforce rules and initiate disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations; prepare evaluations.
• Coordinate shift scheduling to ensure coverage; plan meetings.
• Maintain security equipment; monitor CCTV and alarms.
• Provide crime prevention training to the campus community.
• Investigate incidents; file timely reports and testify when required.
• Oversee special events and overtime shifts, including holidays.
