Job summary

Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment, advising, and collaborating with faculty and industry partners to align curricula with employer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Education, Political Science, HR, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
• Experience in project management or economic development management.
• Experience in higher education.
• Excellent written and oral communication with faculty, staff, and students.
• Ability to interact with employers, workforce and economic development entities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to coordinate with evening classes.
• Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with college personnel, staff, faculty, and program directors to aid in recruitment, retention, job placement, and student success.
• Develop and facilitate orientations, seminars, and workshops for employers, faculty, and staff on education, transfer, and career opportunities in industrial tech, welding, engineering, construction, oil and gas, and quality disciplines.
• Communicate information to individuals, groups, and faculty.
• Interpret and apply college policies and procedures.
• Interact with and motivate others.
• Maintain records and prepare reports.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
• Develop relationships with local schools and technical institutions off campus.
• Meet with workforce, employers, and industry boards.
• Organize and attend off-campus recruiting functions.
• Support the Division in industrial technology, welding, engineering, construction, oil and gas, and quality disciplines.
• Recruit students into programs and coordinate advisory board meetings.
