Job summary

University Health Services at UT Austin is seeking a Physician, Primary Care to provide medical care for students. The role is full-time on the UT Main Campus, 40 hours weekly, with an option for 9–12 months of work per year and an exempt FLSA status.

Ideal candidates hold an MD/DO, Texas license, DEA, and 2+ years of ambulatory primary care experience, preferably within a college-health setting, and are US residency trained.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO).
• Completion of ACGME Residency Program in the United States.
• Current Board certification in a primary care specialty applicable to college health.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
• Valid DEA registration.
• Two or more years of experience in providing primary medical care to patients in an ambulatory setting, including use of electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provision of primary care for the students of the University.
• Contributing to and supporting overall organizational goals.
• Reviews and demonstrates compliance with UHS and departmental policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates professionalism and commitment to quality care by adhering to customer service standards, respecting patient rights and confidentiality.
• Participates in outreach programs on campus, as appropriate.
