Job summary

University of Texas at Austin’s Healthyhorns - University Health Services is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support patient care on the First Floor. You will assist with patient evaluation, perform procedures, and maintain a respectful, confidential clinical environment on UT's Main Campus.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, MA certification, CPR, and 3+ years in a primary care or sports medicine setting. This is a 40-hour, on-campus position with standard weekday hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and CMA certification.
• At least three years of Medical Assistant experience in primary care or sport medicine.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience liaising between clinic manager and staff.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation and care of patients at UHS.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform department-specific procedures per UHS policies.
