Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services in Waterbury, CT is hiring immediately for a full-time Prep Cook. You will prepare food to recipes, follow established procedures, and serve customers at multiple stations on a 6:30 am–2:30 pm schedule, Monday through Friday. The role requires prior cooking, quick service, and commercial kitchen experience.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience required.
• Experience with quick service environments preferred.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen setting required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food according to production schedules and recipes.
• Operates and cleans kitchen equipment after use.
• Keeps food items stored, labeled and dated per policy.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety and quality.
• Serves customers efficiently at multiple stations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
