UNC Pembroke seeks a Sr. Police Supervisor I to lead a division within Police & Public Safety. The role directs sworn and non-sworn personnel, ensuring daily operations meet department goals and policy standards.

The position requires NC BLET completion, CJET certification eligibility within 30 days, a Bachelor's degree or higher, and 6 years of sworn law enforcement experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. It includes command duties at events and potential EOC involvement.

Qualifications

• Completion of NC BLET and CJET Commission certification as commissioned officer or eligible within 30 days.
• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or higher and six years sworn law enforcement experience.
• At least three years of supervisory experience at a Police Sergeant level or higher.
• Current NC law enforcement certification or eligibility; leadership training preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily mid-level management and supervisory oversight to one division.
• Direct supervision to sworn police supervisors (Sergeants) and non-sworn staff.
• Manage daily operations of the assigned division and ensure goal attainment.
• Serve as event commander for special events and coordinate with EOC as needed.
• Represent the department at meetings and assist Chief/Assistant Chief as assigned.
