Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree (60 hours) or equivalent college credits and 4 years sworn law enforcement experience.
• Current certification from NC CJETSC as a commissioned police officer or certification eligible within the agency timeframe.
• For Level II/III, 3 or 6 years of supervisory experience within the agency or substantially equivalent classification.

Responsibilities

• Serve in a first-line supervisory capacity, overseeing a team and planning shifts.
• Manage assignments, evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions; respond to calls and incidents as needed.
• Ensure compliance with policy, law, and local regulations; may support investigations or patrol as assigned.
