University of Central Florida is seeking a Plumber I to support the Facilities Maintenance team on the Main Campus. The role involves preventive and corrective plumbing work, installation, testing, and maintenance of systems across campus facilities, with a focus on safe and efficient operations.

You will troubleshoot issues, perform routine repairs, and collaborate with central shops and other departments.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved apprenticeship in plumbing or a high school diploma with two years of plumbing experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing tools, equipment, materials, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to interpret safety guidelines and follow written instructions.
• Experience reading blueprints and using testing/measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent failures.
• Carry out repairs and replacements of sanitary and plumbing components.
• Install and test plumbing systems in bathrooms, labs, and kitchens.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and operate pumps, valves, and water heaters.
• Complete work orders with labor hours and notes; report deficiencies to supervisor.
