Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in photography, journalism or related field.
• 2 years of experience in photography.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Proficient in Photoshop or other photo editing software.
• Advanced proficiency in professional cameras (DSLR/mirrorless) and lighting equipment, including studio and on-location lighting.
• Can work flexible hours including early mornings, nights and weekends.
• Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit professional photographs and campus events to highlight the campus experience and promotional videos.
• Take official headshots and portraits of faculty, staff, and leadership for the university website and press releases.
• Handle pre-production (concept development, shot lists, location scouting), production (camera operation, lighting, audio), and post-production (editing, color grading, retouching).
• Collaborate with writers, designers, and social media teams to align visuals with institutional messaging.
• Ensure media assets comply with branding and visual style guides.
• Create photos for brochures, websites, social media, and alumni magazines; ensure branding guidelines are followed.
• Organize, tag, and archive photo/video files for campus-wide use.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for equipment maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
