Qualifications

  • Available to work 3–5 hours per month for a full academic year
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; willing to take responsibility
  • In good disciplinary standing; no recent probation or reprimand
  • Willing to complete PA State Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI clearances
  • Willing to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Peer Mentor for at least one student
  • Communicate with students in person, text, Skype, and/or phone; at least two hours per month per mentee
  • Log at least two conversations per month with each mentee
  • Provide feedback on the program via surveys/interviews when requested
  • Participate in peer mentor training
