Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a part-time Peer Mentor Ambassador for an on-site Work Study position. You will guide campus tours, share information about admissions, financial aid, and college resources with prospective students, including high school outreach.

You will assist with FAFSA/TASFA and Apply Texas applications, support orientation events, and help students navigate college life while maintaining a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have general knowledge around college access and completion.
• Must be mature, responsible, organized, and be able to pay attention to details.
• Must have strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• May require evening and weekend hours as needed within a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist with conducting campus tours and campus events from start to finish.
• Provide essential information to prospective students about higher education, including the college selection process, the application process, and financial aid options.
• Provide information to high school students about academic and career options.
• Provide information to high school students about Dallas College student success and instructional departments that support: the application processes, financial aid options, and campus resources.
• Assist students in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA).
• Assist students in completing the Apply Texas application.
• Assist with the planning, preparation and execution of New Student Orientation events
• Performs other duties as assigned.
