Job summary

The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) seeks a Campus Payroll Coordinator. This administrative role reports to the HR Payroll Manager and supports payroll processing for field employee payroll transactions, direct deposits, and deductions across CUNY campuses.

You will verify timesheets, respond to payroll inquiries, help resolve system issues, and cover for teammates when needed, contributing to accurate, timely payroll administration and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2 years payroll or accounting experience.
• Strong math skills.
• Knowledge of FLSA, FMLA and NYSDOL WHD laws.
• Workday Payroll Module knowledge a plus.
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in payroll processing for field employees.
• Assist with direct deposits, garnishments and deductions.
• Verify and input timesheets.
• Respond to wage and payroll information requests.
• Resolve payroll system issues.
• Collaborate with HR and RFCO staff.
• Cover for other payroll team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
