Job summary

The University of Florida is seeking a Parking and Traffic Logistics Coordinator for Main Campus (Gainesville, FL). The role schedules and manages parking control equipment, coordinates events, and ensures safe, efficient traffic and parking operations across the campus.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience, with on-call duties and occasional evenings/weekends for events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: Experience with managing parking and transportation operations for large-scale events with 5,000 or more attendees.
• Knowledge of industry parking software applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and manages deployment and retrieval of parking control equipment for events, construction projects, and maintenance activities.
• Ensures timely closure and reopening of parking spaces and communicates with stakeholders to minimize disruptions.
• Maintains an inventory of signage and field equipment and deployment calendar; coordinates with departments and vendors.
• Responds to on-site operational issues, including signage discrepancies, blocked spaces, or vehicle-related concerns.
• Tracks university capital projects to coordinate parking or transportation impacts with PDC, including relocation of parking spaces and route modifications.
• Maintains safe and clean parking facilities by reporting hazards and scheduling closures for maintenance repairs.
• Audits signage across lots and garages for consistency; coordinates updates or removals of signage.
• Coordinates parking coverage for large-scale events and secures residential and ADA parking spaces.
• Generates occupancy counts and reports; monitors departmental KPIs and supports continuous improvement.
• Valid Class E Driver's License; Criminal Background Check; on-call 24/7 support.
