Job summary

Miami University Alumni Association is seeking a Parking Technician to support the Parking Services team on the Oxford campus. The role is regular and paid hourly, with a typical 40-hour work week.

The technician will patrol lots, assist customers, collect fees, and help with event parking and general operations. A high school diploma or GED and some related experience are required, with preference for customer service or parking-related roles.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and six months of related experience.
• Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of university rules and regulations.
• Basic mathematical and reading aptitude.
• Preferred: experience in parking enforcement, security, municipal operations, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Patrol parking lots and structures, report maintenance needs, and issue citations.
• Operate cash register, collect money, and reconcile cash drawer.
• Assist staff, faculty, students, and visitors with directions and policies.
• Collect monies from meters and deliver to business office.
• Serve at special events and direct parking as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
