Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and a valid Minnesota driver's license.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
• Ability to withstand verbal confrontation and remain courteous.
• Ability to read and understand traffic signs.

Responsibilities

• Patrols streets and lots on foot and by car.
• Identifies and writes citations for parking violations.
• Initiate procedure for towing or booting scofflaw vehicles.
• Call in boot-able vehicles.
• Checks parking signs for proper signage and reports vandalized or missing signs.
• Attends scheduled hearings in court as requested.
• Maintains accurate records and reports manually and/or through automated methods.
• Works with large crowds assisting drivers with parking.
• Acts as security monitor for a campus operation and conducts evening/night inspections.
• Performs special security related duties as assigned.
• Assists the college community and emergency services in emergencies.
• Handles money on a daily basis.
• Communicates effectively with diverse groups.
