Job summary

VCU seeks a Parking Ambassador 1 to support Parking and Transportation Services. The role focuses on enforcing regulations, maintaining safety, and assisting motorists across campus facilities. You will coordinate with university police and security partners to uphold safety plans and direction during shifts.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. It includes a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to complete required training.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Patrols of parking decks, lots, and facilities for safety and security.
• Enforces parking regulations and issues citations as trained.
• Maintains parking inventory and reports vacancies daily.
• Performs facility maintenance checks and coordinates with staff.
• Responds to motorist inquiries and provides directions.
