Job summary

Aramark Facilities Management is seeking a skilled Painter I to support the appearance and upkeep of a college campus. You will prepare surfaces, apply paint and finishes, and match colors across classrooms, offices, and residence halls on campus.

The role requires at least five years of painting experience in commercial or institutional settings, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of painting experience in commercial, institutional, residential, or related environments.
• Experience preparing surfaces, repairing drywall, applying joint compound and tape, and performing finish work.
• Ability to match paint colors and textures accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and safe handling of painting materials.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when required.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare walls, ceilings, drywall, and other surfaces for painting and finishing.
• Apply joint compound, tape, patching materials, and texture repairs as needed.
• Sand, scrape, and smooth surfaces to ensure high-quality finished results.
• Apply paint, stains, coatings, and protective finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Match existing paint colors and textures for repairs and renovation projects.
• Maintain and repair drywall, wall textures, and related finishes.
• Operate painting tools and equipment including brushes, rollers, sprayers, sanders, ladders, and scaffolding.
• Protect surrounding areas using drop cloths, masking materials, and safety barriers.
• Follow all safety procedures when handling paints, solvents, coatings, and hazardous materials.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and customer satisfaction are met.
• Work throughout a college campus environment including classrooms, offices, residence halls, common areas, and other facilities.
• Complete assigned projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and craftsmanship.
