Job summary

Rollins College is seeking a service-oriented Painter to join the Facilities Services Maintenance team. The Painter will work under the Lead Painter to perform basic painting, wall and trim repairs, touchups, and related tasks, with or without supervision.

This is an entry-level to mid-level position on the painting team. This role requires a high school education and a valid Florida driver's license, with outdoor work, physical labor, and occasional extended hours.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of painting trade standards, methods, materials and tools.
• Understanding and compliance with OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to perform strenuous work, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
• Ability to climb ladders and work from scaffolding or lifts when trained.
• Competent with Rollins work ticket system (TDX) to manage tasks and logs.

Responsibilities

• Paint interiors and exteriors of buildings and structures using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Wash buildings and sidewalks with high-pressure equipment.
• Paint traffic markings on campus roads and parking areas.
• Paint furniture and equipment in spray booth.
• Perform plastering, drywall work, tiling, glazing, and minor trim repairs.
