Job summary

The University of Indianapolis is seeking a Facilities Painter to maintain and improve the appearance of the campus. This hands-on role covers painting across residence halls, classrooms, and offices with opportunities to influence how spaces look.

Strong emphasis on prep, priming, and finishing to achieve sharp results. Essential duties include surface preparation, caulking, patching, and patching walls, with occasional carpentry assistance.

Qualifications

• Three years of painting experience and general building maintenance knowledge.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to complete OSHA safety training and use PPE.

Responsibilities

• Paint and finish across campus including drywall, metal door/window frames, and other surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces, prime, and apply finish coatings; patch drywall and touch up walls.
• Assist carpentry on furniture moves, hanging pictures, TVs, and storefront work.
