Job summary

Irving ISD in Irving, Texas is seeking a Director of Campus Operations to lead attendance initiatives, district policies, and district-wide student services. The role reports to the Executive Director of Student Support Services and oversees attendance staff across campuses.

The position requires a master's degree, Texas certificates, and at least three years as a campus administrator, with principal and teaching experience preferred. The wage range is $106,077 to $146,488 per year and is Exempt.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Valid Texas teacher’s certificate or other credentials required by the State Board for Educator Certification for this position.
• Valid Texas certificate in Supervision, Administration, and/or Mid-Management Administrator or such other credentials as may be required by the State Board for Educator Certification for this position.
• Bilingual in Spanish and ability to present information to diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development/maintenance of Board policies related to student services.
• Conduct staff development for district personnel regarding discipline, 504, Special Education MD ARDS, enrollment/attendance, and other district programs.
• Organize and maintain student transfers/admissions systems and supervise maintenance of those records.
• File appropriate school district reports with federal/state agencies.
• Coordinate the Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program and serve as liaison to the JJAEP schools.
• Conduct hearings in matters involving administration, discipline of students, and other matters as directed by the executive director of student services.
• Remain current in the field by reading professional literature, attending professional conferences or meetings, and discussing developments/problems with others.
• Conduct district investigations for Title IX and serve as hearing officer for FNG complaints.
• Maintain the District Student Handbook/Code of Student Conduct and oversee attendance initiatives.
• Coordinate attendance improvement programs and ensure compliance with state attendance laws.
• Provide training and technical assistance to campus administrators and staff regarding attendance laws and intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with campus and district staff to identify and remove barriers to student attendance.
• Prepare and submit required attendance reports to state/local agencies.
• Assist in residency, enrollment, and attendance-related investigations as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned.
