Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group is seeking a Software Product Manager for PERSONA Campus Online in New Haven, CT. You will own the product vision, roadmap, and market strategy, working with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to drive adoption and measurable business value.

You will lead customer discovery, translate insights into actionable requirements, and build business cases while ensuring scalability, cybersecurity, and quality. Travel up to 50% will be expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in product management, solutions consulting, implementation, customer success, technical support, sales engineering, or related roles in electronic access control.
• Direct experience with colleges/universities on access control, campus credentials, residence hall security, campus card systems, or related tech.
• Strong understanding of higher-education stakeholders, procurement processes, implementation environments, and academic operating cycles.
• Working knowledge of access-control technologies, including software platforms, credentials, readers, locks, controllers, and system integrations.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct customer discovery and translate business needs into actionable product requirements.
• Strong business acumen and decision-making skills; ability to prioritize opportunities and communicate trade-offs.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes without direct authority.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Define, own, and communicate the product vision, market positioning, strategic direction, and multi-year roadmap for PERSONA Campus Online.
• Identify market opportunities and customer challenges that drive long-term product growth and differentiation.
• Prioritize product investments based on customer value, market demand, revenue potential, strategic alignment, risk, and development capacity.
• Lead product development from customer discovery through requirements, validation, launch, and adoption.
• Translate customer insights into prioritized requirements, workflows, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
• Develop business cases evaluating market opportunity, costs, differentiation, and ROI.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, firmware, QA, cybersecurity, implementation, sales, marketing, and support teams.
