Job summary

Hamilton College in Clinton, NY seeks a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join the campus health team on a part-time basis (90% schedule). The role encompasses preventive care, treatment of illnesses, and health education, working closely with an interdisciplinary team.

The candidate will hold NYS NP certification, a Master’s degree, and at least 3 years in primary or urgent care, with EMR experience and vaccination compliance. Hours are Monday–Friday with after-hours coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and NYS Nurse Practitioner certification required.
• Minimum 3 years in primary care or urgent care; college/university health setting preferred.
• Current BLS certification and infection control certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses.
• Prescribe medications and treatments as clinically indicated.
• Conduct physical examinations and maintain accurate medical records.
• Assess injuries and provide appropriate treatment/referrals.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, x-rays, etc.).
• Deliver health education during office visits and other platforms.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team including medical, mental health, case managers, nutrition, accessibility resources, and athletics professionals.
