Job summary

Sun River Health is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to join the Amenia site. You will provide preventative and behavioral health services under physician supervision, focusing on immunizations, education, and comprehensive care for diverse patient groups.

Minimum education is a Master’s Degree with NY NP licensure and CPR/BLS. 5–8 years of experience preferred, including time in a large medical practice; some duties include case conferences and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• New York NP license and CPR/BLS certification required.
• 5–8 years of work experience; 4 years in a large medical practice.
• Preferred: 8+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Takes histories, performs physical examinations, gives immunizations and patient education.
• Orders lab work, draws blood if needed, and performs some lab tests.
• Prescribes treatment for minor illnesses and consults with physician regarding medications and referrals.
• Maintains documentation and reviews records; follows up on abnormal results and reports.
• Attends case conferences and participates in continuing education and quality improvement programs.
• Identifies patient age-specific needs (infants, pediatric, adult, geriatric).
• Adheres to OSHA infection control standards per CDC guidelines.
