Job summary
Savannah State University is seeking a Networking Manager to lead design, deployment, and operation of campus network infrastructure, including wired/wireless networks, VoIP, and security. The role supervises networking staff and coordinates with vendors on projects to ensure reliable, secure services for faculty, staff, students, and campus operations.
Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with IT units and campus departments.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in networking, cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or related field with six (6) years of related experience; or
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, networking, or related field with four (4) years of related experience.
- Two (2) years of supervisory, team lead, project lead, or technical lead experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, install, monitor, maintain, and optimize campus network infrastructure.
- Monitor network utilization and plan upgrades and new services.
- Develop, implement, and maintain network security protocols and access controls.
