Job summary

Savannah River Mission Completion in Aiken, SC is seeking a System Administrator/Network Specialist or Senior System Administrator/Network Specialist to support the Savannah River Site. The role emphasizes network design, configuration management, testing, and equipment selection to meet current and future capacity needs.

Candidates will work with internal teams and vendors; senior level adds evaluation of new technologies and potential staff training. DOE/NNSA compliance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher with relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
• Experience with Liquid Waste facilities and DOE/NNSA requirements preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderately complex configuration management and release tasks.
• Designs and plans standard ICS network systems.
• Conducts testing of network systems.
• Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Maintains software configuration management tools for both internal and COTS software.
• Contributes to milestones and project completion.
• Maintains expertise in routers, switches, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
• May train software developers in configuration management tools.
