Job summary

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Office of Technology seeks a skilled Network Administrator to join our team. You will manage VMware, Linux environments, wireless infrastructure, VoIP, and core switches/routers/firewalls to maintain performance, reliability, and security of IT systems.

This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, critical thinking, and a hands-on approach in a dynamic environment, with exposure to security principles and scripting tasks in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university by hire date.
• Genuine commitment to fostering and working in a diverse environment.
• Valid Louisiana driver’s license and ability to complete southeastern’s Driver Safety Course.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot network and IT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the network administration team to support VMware, Linux, and core networking components.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and security of IT systems in a fast-paced environment.
