Job summary

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is seeking a Campus Staff Minister (CSM) to lead ministry on college and university campuses in Michigan. You will guide students and faculty in Scripture, prayer, and discipleship, building witnessing communities aligned with InterVarsity’s core values.

The role emphasizes ministry planning, leadership development, and fundraising to meet financial budgets. Travel to campus events and collaboration with regional staff are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for CSMs assigned to a four-year campus.
• Strong interpersonal skills (including ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software

Responsibilities

• Lead students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship experiences.
• Raise 100% of the financial budget assigned by your supervisor.
• Develop and execute ministry plans, programs, teams, and structures.
• Collaborate with supervisors and national leaders.
• Recruit and develop diverse groups of students and faculty to engage campus.
• Under the direction of the Area Director, may supervise Ministry Interns and Campus Ministry Interns as delegated.
• Create ways for faculty and students to encounter and follow Jesus through Scripture, worship, mission experiences, conferences, etc.
