Job summary

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is seeking a Campus Staff Minister (CSM) to lead ministry at Michigan campuses, including Central Michigan University, Grand Valley State University, Michigan State University, University of Michigan, and Wayne State University. The role involves campus leadership, disciple making, and developing partnerships to fund ministry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for CSMs assigned to a four‑year campus or higher.
• A two‑year campus or community college assignment requires at least an Associate’s degree.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Pursue a vibrant relationship with God through Scripture, prayer, and worship.
• Develop self‑leadership and relational integrity.
• Lead students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship to advance the campus vision.
• Set annual goals and grow conversions and leadership development.
• Build leadership teams and execute plans to meet yearly goals.
• Mobilize students and faculty to engage their networks with the gospel and start new missional communities.
• Work under the Area Director and supervise interns as delegated.
• Create opportunities for faculty and students to encounter Jesus through Scripture, worship and mission experiences.
