The University of Chicago Department CSL SCS: Medical Providers seeks a Psychiatrist to provide routine and emergent psychiatric care to University of Chicago students under supervision. Consults with multidisciplinary Mental Health Services (MHS) and Student Wellness (SW) staff, in accordance with privileges approved by the credentials committee, to identify and manage mental health problems.

Qualificações

• Education: college degree from an accredited school/college.
• Work experience: combination of education and training in related discipline.
• Certifications: Illinois licensure/registration; eligible for privileges through MSO.
• Preferred: PMHNP certification and board certification; RN license.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts comprehensive psychiatric evaluations; prescribes medications; orders labs; provides follow-up care.
• Follows policies and HIPAA/FERPA guidelines.
• Maintains collaborative relationship with SW Chief Psychiatrist; documents interactions timely.
• Participates in on-call rotation; provides campus-based services and consultation to staff and trainees.
• Attends multidisciplinary case conferences and psychiatry staff meetings; engages in quality improvement.
• Serves on MHS committees and pursues ongoing professional development.
