Job summary

The California State University, San Bernardino is seeking a Federal Work Study Student Assistant in Marketing and Communications to support digital marketing and social media efforts, content creation, event coverage, and campus partnerships. You will help expand CSUSB’s online presence and engagement across channels.

The role requires enrollment as a CSUSB student with a 2.0 GPA minimum, ability to work in the United States, and the capacity to collaborate in a fast-paced team; on-campus hours

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
• Special Qualification: Admission or registration as a CSU student.
• Maintain a 2.0 GPA or greater per semester and cumulatively; enrolled at CSUSB at least halftime; international students must have full-time enrollment; eligible to work in the United States.
• Payroll requirement: Social Security Card.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating engaging, branded, digital content for CSUSB’s official social media channels.
• Conduct brief interviews to create compelling content.
• Schedule, publish, and monitor social media content across platforms.
• Respond to comments and messages per CSUSB standards.
• Capture and post real-time social media content during events.
• Collaborate with team to brainstorm strategies for brand awareness and engagement.
• Track and report key performance metrics for digital campaigns.
• Organize digital content libraries and assist with email marketing and website updates.
• Assist in coordinating social media takeovers and live-streaming.
• Maintain inventory and check-in/check-out lists weekly.
• Assist in crisis communication as needed.
