Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a Regular, full-time Maintenance Technician in Edmond, OK. The role encompasses general maintenance, skilled plumbing, drywall and paint, light carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and event setups.

You may supervise student workers and coordinate with outside contractors while following university policies. This is an essential, on-site position with expected weekend/after-hours coverage.

Qualifications

• Requires general education or vocational training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and be able to operate a typical motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, skilled plumbing duties, and repairs in university facilities.
• Perform general maintenance and repair work, including light carpentry, drywall installation and repair, painting, and hardware repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance of furniture and appliances and troubleshoot building systems.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and supervise student workers when needed.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and work varying shifts as required.
