Job summary

CLS Living seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a hands-on team in College Park, MD. You will oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs, while directing preventive maintenance, safety programs, and vendor coordination to keep the community safe, efficient, and visually appealing.

You will mentor staff, ensure timely responses to service requests, and partner with the General Manager to sustain high occupancy and strong resident satisfaction in a student-focused environment.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 / HVAC Certification required.
• Proficient in building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Experience with Make Ready processes and unit turnover.
• Familiar with life safety and building automation systems.
• Experience in student housing or multifamily settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing maintenance team, fostering professionalism and accountability.
• Oversee all building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Implement preventive maintenance and safety programs.
• Coordinate vendor and contractor work and negotiate pricing when needed.
• Respond to emergencies and manage after-hours issues.
