Job summary

Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM) seeks a Student Maintenance Assistant at Bowie State University. The role supports daily maintenance tasks under the Maintenance Supervisor, with duties including escorting vendors, replacing air filters and batteries in locks, and assisting with inventory and moving furniture for apartments.

The position is non-benefits eligible, not a full-time role, and pays $16.50 per hour with a maximum of 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required and current student status at Bowie State University is needed.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Escort vendors/contractors as needed.
• Replace air filters.
• Replace batteries in electronic locks.
• Maintain organization and inventory of supplies in the maintenance shops and storage closets.
• Move furniture for apartments (stoves, beds, refrigerators, desks, sofa, chairs).
• Notify supervisor and report situations needing attention.
• Attend meetings and perform administrative tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
