Job summary

University of West Georgia is seeking a Student Assistant - Production Assistant to support campus events. You will operate audio/visual gear for commencements, sports, student affairs, and special events, and assist in setup and teardown around evening and weekend schedules.

The role requires current UWG enrollment (six credits+), a minimum 2.0 GPA, ability to lift 25 lbs, and knowledge of basic broadcast operations. Prior live event experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours and maintaining at least a 2.0 GPA.
• Must be available to work nights and weekends.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs and sit/stand for long periods.
• Previous live event production experience preferred.
• Knowledge of broadcast operations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Production Assistants will work various live events on campus, including commencements, sports, student affairs, and special events.
• PAs will operate audio/visual equipment such as cameras, audio mixers/mics/speakers, video switchers and playback machines.
