Job summary

NANA Management Services is seeking a Line Cook for Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage, AK. The role supports university food service production with a focus on quality and sanitation across hot and cold lines.

Responsibilities include daily menu execution, production sheet review, HACCP compliance, and assisting other kitchen staff as needed. Must have English proficiency and relevant food service experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Municipality of Anchorage Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certification contingent upon 30 days of hire.
• Two years of line cook or related work experience.
• At least one year of experience demonstrating knowledge of proper food service sanitation methods and equipment.
• ServSafe certification required contingent upon 30 days of hire.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.
• Two years of culinary vocational training preferred.
• Associates Degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
• Catering experience preferred.
• Experience in food service management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs main line food production duties per shift.
• Work independently with little oversight.
• Maintain quality control on hot and cold lines.
• Review daily needs with supervisors and complete production sheets.
• Ensure sanitation and proper HACCP protocol.
• Fill in for other positions as needed.
• Oversee proper rotation of produce and dairy products.
• Maintain equipment and storage areas per safety procedures.
