Job summary

St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time Campus Life Operations Manager.

This role oversees the Information and Campus Life desks, recruits and trains student workers, and manages day-to-day operations including communications, newsletters, and event logistics. Responsibilities include supervising 35–50 students, coordinating the employment cycle, developing staffing plans, and updating campus websites and forms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in supervising employees.
• Experience scheduling to cover business operations.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in higher education.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and/or student engagement platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Information Center, Campus Life Desk, and Student Organization Center operations.
• Supervise 35–50 student employees and 2–4 Lead Student Workers.
• Coordinate full student employment cycle each semester: recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, and offboarding.
• Develop staffing plans for two customer service desks to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Create and maintain student employee position descriptions, training materials, procedures, and accountability systems.
• Promote inclusive, professional, student-centered customer service practices.
• Update Campus Life websites and weekly student engagement newsletter.
• Maintain logs, inventories, and operational documentation for staffing and improvements.
• Coordinate office supplies, equipment, and inventory for Campus Life operations.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day issues and escalate when needed.
