Job summary

The City University of New York's City Tech is seeking a Student Activities Coordinator at the Assistant to HEO rank to plan, organize and implement co-curricular activities for students. Under the supervision of the Director of Student Life & Development, the Coordinator will advise student leaders, coordinate events, support student organizations, and promote a positive, engaging campus environment.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree; preferred qualifications include two years

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Two years’ experience in higher education student services is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with proficiency in online communication.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating undergraduate student co-curricular programming, including advising student leaders and guiding a diverse student population.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for events such as orientation, Welcome Week, and commencements.
  • Assist with financial record keeping and budget reconciliation for student activities.
  • Coordinate space, equipment planning, and serve as chaperone for student events.
