Job summary

Madison College is seeking a part-time Library Services Assistant to support operations at Reedsburg and Portage campuses in Wisconsin. You will assist with circulation, research support, technology troubleshooting and access to digital and physical resources for online and on-site students.

Responsibilities include helping students with information literacy, managing library databases, and aiding librarians and student achievement centers on special projects.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 0-2 years of relevant professional work experience.
• Knowledge of academic library services and circulation procedures.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides research and academic technology support to help students develop information and digital literacy skills.
• Troubleshoots academic technology issues including access to learning management systems, student accounts, software, equipment, and videoconferencing tools.
• Assists with physical and digital resource access and circulation of library materials.
• Facilitates checkouts, returns, interlibrary loans, deliveries and equipment loans.
• Upholds policies and maintains availability of resources and equipment.
• Supports outreach and engagement efforts for marketing and events.
