Job summary

Madison College is seeking a part-time Library Services Assistant to support librarians and students at the Watertown and Fort Atkinson campuses in Wisconsin. The role covers circulation, research support, technology troubleshooting, and resource access, with a focus on customer service and information literacy.

The position is grant-funded through September 30, 2027, with a 3-day, 20-hour per week schedule across two campuses, and first review date on November 8, 2026.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of academic library services, circulation procedures and reference best practices.
• Knowledge of academic technologies including LMS, library systems, and videoconferencing tools.
• Ability to guide students in information literacy and research methods.
• Commitment to accessible, inclusive learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Provides research and academic technology support to help students develop information and digital literacy skills.
• Troubleshoots academic technology issues including LMS access, software, accounts, and videoconferencing tools.
• Assists with physical and digital resource access and circulation of library materials.
• Supports outreach, events, and marketing to raise awareness of services and programs.
• Collaborates on projects and quality improvement initiatives.
• Performs other related duties as required.
