Job summary

Madison College is seeking a part-time Tutor to support students at the Reedsburg and Portage campuses in Wisconsin. The role involves tutoring, mentoring, and developing supplemental learning resources to improve comprehension, retention, and achievement.

You will identify learning challenges, apply effective tutoring strategies, and collaborate with faculty to align tutoring with course objectives, while promoting independent learning and academic success.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tutoring strategies and learning theories.
• Ability to design study plans and targeted tutoring content.
• Experience aligning tutoring with curriculum objectives.

Responsibilities

• Enhance student independent learning by identifying challenges and creating study plans.
• Develop and implement supplemental learning activities and resources.
• Expand tutoring reach across campuses with faculty collaboration.
• Strengthen student success through structured individual and small group sessions.
• Mentor and train peer tutors and staff for a collaborative support network.
• Perform related duties to support institutional objectives.
