Job summary

The Landing Ames, managed by Tailwind Group, is seeking a Community Assistant to generate leases and renewals while delivering exceptional customer service. You will greet prospects, conduct tours, and assist with day-to-day operations at the Ames property.

This part-time role (up to 29.5 hours weekly) requires rotating nights and weekends, with compensation at $12.00 per hour plus commission potential. In-office presence is required for property operations and resident engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, sales, or retail is preferred.
• Current enrollment at local university and future resident status is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent customer service with residents, prospects, vendors and community members.
• Serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents and conduct property tours.
• Present leasing options and answer questions about features and amenities.
• Maintain follow‑up communication with prospects to maximize conversions.
• Drive leasing traffic through on‑campus outreach and peer networking.
• Assist in resident events, move‑ins, and community activities.
• Open and close the office and model unit following property standards.
