Lakewood Cemetery Association seeks a Director, Campus Development, Landscape and Arboretum to lead the evolution of its 250-acre campus, guiding landscape, buildings, trails and infrastructure with a bold, long-term vision. You will oversee capital projects and partner with leaders to deliver exceptional remembrance spaces, while balancing stewardship and innovation.

The role demands 10+ years of leadership in arboretum/cemeteries or similar complex settings, with strong design judgment,

Competenze

• The strongest candidates will bring leadership experience from an arboretum, botanical garden, cemetery, campus, cultural institution, or similarly complex environment.
• Background may include landscape architecture, architecture, planning, horticulture, campus facilities oversight or a related field.
• Credentials are less important than demonstrated ability to lead design, stewardship and evolution of a significant physical place.
• 10+ years of leadership experience and sophisticated design judgment are highly valued.

• Lead long-range campus and landscape vision and its implementation.
• Translate mission into integrated landscape, memorialization, wayfinding, and visitor experience.
• Champion landscape architecture and design across the campus with coherent design philosophy.
