Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service in Bloomington, IN, is seeking a dedicated Student Steward to support the culinary team with dishwashing, kitchen cleanup, and stock maintenance. You will ensure utensils and dishes are clean, stocked, and properly stored, contributing to a safe and organized dining area.

Ideal candidates have experience in a restaurant setting, the ability to pass a background check, and a commitment to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented housekeeping in a fast-paced food service setting.
• Knowledge of commercial dishwasher operation and sanitation standards.
• Awareness of industry best practices and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area.
• Wash kitchen utensils, equipment and dishes using a dishwasher or by hand.
• Put away clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans.
• Stock supplies in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
• Sweep and wash floors and assist in deliveries as needed.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers and customers.
• Communicate regularly with management via calls, emails, and texts.
