Job summary

Mannahouse in Tigard, Oregon is seeking a Part-Time Campus Kids Pastor to provide leadership, pastoral care, and administrative support for Mannahouse Kids Ministries on the Tigard campus. The role works with other Mannahouse Kids Pastors, the Campus Pastor, and the Kids Center of Excellence leader to equip leaders, implement curriculum, and create safe, engaging environments for children.

Qualifications

• 2 years of previous Children's Ministry experience
• Good knowledge of Scripture with doctrinal and theological alignment with Mannahouse
• Bible College degree preferred
• Familiar with software technologies including databases, word processors, presentations, and spreadsheets
• Ability to work positively with children and parents
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain flexibility in scheduling and ministry needs
• Ability to live within the community being served (a maximum 30-minute drive time to the campus is preferred)
• Ability to recruit, delegate, build teams, and empower volunteer leaders who lead areas and teams
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to cast vision, teach, and communicate publicly to children, leaders, and volunteers
• Ability to embrace and fulfill the vision of Mannahouse Kids in alignment with Mannahouse
• A commitment of 5 years to this position is preferred
• Must be a member in good standing of Mannahouse, including consistent attendance, ministry participation, and tithing

Responsibilities

• Partners with the Mannahouse Kids Center of Excellence Leader and Campus Pastor to implement the vision and core values of Mannahouse Kids Ministry on their campus
• Recruits, develops, and releases leaders who build teams that oversee all areas of Kids Ministry on their campus
• Facilitates training for all volunteers annually and as needed
• Develops and leads a Mannahouse Kids Leadership Team that assists with leadership, recruitment, training, and pastoring of children and families
• Leads and teaches during leadership trainings, volunteer orientations, Sunday huddles, and when necessary or strategic, in children's classrooms
• Communicates and establishes seasonal goals, leadership changes, and ministry plans with the Campus Pastor
• Implements Mannahouse Kids Ministry calendar events

Job description

The Campus Kids Pastor provides leadership, pastoral, and administrative support for Mannahouse Kids Ministries at the assigned campus. Works collaboratively with other Mannahouse Kids Pastors, the Mannahouse Kids Center of Excellence leader, and the Campus Pastor to equip leaders, implement curriculum, create fun and safe ministry environments, and partners with parents in helping children live like Jesus and share his love.

Equips, leads, disciples, pastors, and provides counsel to existing leaders in alignment with the mission and vision of Mannahouse. Recruits new leaders and builds teams to lead Mannahouse Kids on their campus. Performs routine and special leadership duties and supports related work and special projects as needed.
