Job summary

Delta State University in Cleveland, MS is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to install, configure, and maintain campus computers, printers, and related technology. The role requires close work with students, faculty and staff to resolve issues and keep labs running smoothly.

An associate degree in electronic engineering technology, IT, MIS or Computer Engineering is required, with 1–4 years of experience. Strong troubleshooting, communication and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Install, maintain and configure computers, printers, and supporting technology.
Deploy, install, configure, upgrade, test and support software and software images.
Obtain and maintain certification and training as required by management, and if necessary by manufacturers to maintain hardware warranty.
Constantly learn new technologies to enhance campus computing environment.
Maintain campus computer labs.
Respond to computer related issues in a timely and courteous manner.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
