Winston-Salem State University is seeking an HVAC Technician to join the Housing and Residence Life Facilities team. The primary duties include preventive maintenance of campus HVAC, steam and chilled water systems, and controls. On-call and callback work are required as scheduled.

The role emphasizes safe operation, documentation of repairs, and coordination of work orders in Team Dynamix, with a 40-hour work week based in Winston-Salem, NC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Three years of preventive and corrective maintenance experience on building systems.
• Valid US Driver's License required.
• Universal CFC certification.
• CDL not required for this role.

Responsabilités

• Inspect HVAC systems for performance issues and safety risks
• Identify issues such as leaks and faulty parts using diagnostic tools
• Inspect system controls and safety features to identify root causes of issues
• Check airflow and system pressures for preventative maintenance
• Clean and replace filters, ducts, and vents
• Clean coils, lubricate moving parts such as motors or fans, refilling and recharging refrigerants
• Mount and connect compressors, evaporators, and thermostats
• Maintain records of repairs and maintenance performed
• Manage work orders in Team Dynamix
• Adhere to safety procedures and use protective equipment
