Job summary

Westtown School seeks an experienced HVAC Technician to support operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, and related building systems across campus.

The role requires strong technical skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or with the Facilities team. It includes essential personnel status and an on-call weekend rotation to address emergencies and maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of experience in HVAC, electrical, or a related skilled trade involving maintenance, repair, and operation of building systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical principles and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment (voltmeters, ammeters, voltage testers, multimeters).
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and read blueprints.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, electrical, refrigeration and related building systems across campus.
• Perform preventive maintenance and replacement of system components such as boilers and heaters.
• Maintain central boiler plant and monitor efficiency; keep equipment records for scheduling and parts.”,
