Job summary

Aramark Facilities Management is seeking an HVAC Technician I to support heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems at Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced HVAC technician who can diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.

Daily tasks include responding to service calls, performing preventive maintenance, changing filters, and logging work orders in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in HVAC service, commercial maintenance, facilities maintenance, refrigeration, or related experience.
• EPA 608 Certification is required.
• Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment and troubleshoot system failures.
• Capable of refrigerant charging, filter changes, equipment cleaning, and preventive maintenance.
• Comfortable reading work orders and documenting repairs.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Physically able to lift/carry/push/pull/bend/climb/stand for extended periods.
• Regular day shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Charge refrigerant systems and perform HVAC repairs as needed.
• Install, inspect, test, operate, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Change air filters, clean units, and complete PM tasks.
• Process work orders and PM assignments in CMMS/TMA.
• Inspect equipment for proper operation and identify issues before failures.
• Calibrate, repair, and maintain pneumatic controls and related equipment.
• Clean and maintain air handlers, ducts, and ventilation components.
• Respond to emergency HVAC and facility maintenance requests.
• Maintain service records, maintenance documentation, and equipment logs.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools.
• Work safely around electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems following safety procedures.
• Coordinate repairs with supervisors and other trades.
• Provide professional service to campus staff, students, and visitors.
