Job summary

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring an HVAC Technician I to support heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems at Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced technician who can diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment on a campus setting.

The position involves responding to service calls, preventive maintenance, filter changes, and completing work orders in the CMMS system.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC service or related experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing HVAC equipment.
• Ability to perform refrigerant charging, filter changes, and preventive maintenance.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, refrigeration principles.
• Ability to read work orders and document repairs.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods.
• Availability to work a regular day shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Charge refrigerant systems and perform HVAC repairs as needed.
• Install, inspect, test, operate, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Change air filters, clean units, and complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
• Perform work orders and PM assignments through the CMMS maintenance system.
• Inspect equipment for proper operation and identify potential issues before failures occur.
• Calibrate, repair, and maintain pneumatic controls and related equipment.
• Clean and maintain air handlers, ducts, ventilation systems, and associated HVAC components.
• Respond to emergency HVAC and facility maintenance service requests.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance documentation, and equipment logs.
• Maintain inventory of parts, materials, and tools needed to support operations.
• Work safely around electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems while following all safety procedures.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with supervisors and other skilled trades as needed.
• Provide professional service to campus staff, students, and visitors.
