Job summary

Ramapo College of New Jersey is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our facilities team. You will maintain and repair heating, cooling, and related systems across the campus, ensuring comfort and safety for students and staff.

Under supervision, you will perform inspections, handle preventative maintenance, troubleshoot controls, and document work orders. A valid NJ driver's license and EPA certification or eligibility to obtain it are required.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
• EPA Refrigerant Handling license preferred or must obtain within one year.
• Valid New Jersey driver''s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and operate campus HVAC, refrigeration systems and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Complete work orders and document tasks accurately.
• Troubleshoot electrical control circuits and HVAC systems.
• Take readings and adjust parameters to keep within spec.
• Properly use tools and handle equipment safely.
